Homeowner information
Harrod Built Warranty
We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship that go into every home we build. Here’s how our limited warranty works.
Residential construction is a complex process involving a wide range of materials and systems, and we work to deliver homes that meet high standards of performance and durability. Our homes are built in compliance with California building codes, and we aim to prevent defects through proven building practices, attention to detail and reliable materials.
In general, homeowners should expect, and take responsibility for, routine maintenance, care and the natural aging of materials and systems over time. Many parts of a home need ongoing attention to keep performing well.
General warranty information
Harrod Built offers a limited warranty that covers certain elements of the original construction for a period of time following completion or occupancy. This may include structural components and workmanship-related items, in line with typical industry standards.
This general warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Specific coverage, limitations and request procedures may vary by project and are outlined in the homeowner materials provided at the time of sale or close of escrow.
Manufacturer warranties
Appliances, fixtures and mechanical systems may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties, which are the responsibility of the product manufacturer. We encourage homeowners to review, complete and submit any required product registration forms directly to those manufacturers.
Non-warranted conditions
Natural materials such as wood, concrete and stone commonly develop small cracks, cosmetic shifts or surface changes over time due to weather, temperature or settling. These are considered normal and are not typically covered under any construction warranty.
Warranty service
Details about service requests are outlined in your homeowner packet. If a warranty issue comes up, we recommend submitting your request in writing with a clear description of the concern, so it can be reviewed and addressed if applicable.

Warranty coverage for your home is set out in the homeowner materials you receive at the time of sale or close of escrow.
