The goal
A home made for entertaining inside and out, suited to the Central Coast’s Mediterranean climate.
Inside, that meant a kitchen and wet bar at the center of the house. Outside, a covered patio, several seating areas, a pool, a built-in BBQ and a fire pit.
Scope
What we built
- Beamed ceilings with molding, and wood flooring
- Rock-surround fireplace in the living area, and a second rock-accented fireplace in the primary bedroom
- Crown moldings, custom built-ins and wood plantation shutters throughout
- Kitchen with a built-in refrigerator, 5-burner cooktop, granite countertops and custom-painted cabinetry, with pendant lights over the breakfast nook
- Wet bar with a wine fridge and ice maker
- Primary bath with a soaking tub, custom walk-in shower, dual vanities and a walk-in closet
- Phantom screens on the main windows and doors
- Surround sound indoors and out
- Landscaped backyard with several seating areas and a covered patio with retractable screens and fans
- Pool with owned solar heating, a built-in BBQ with fridge, and a fire pit
- Three-car garage and a central alarm system
Process
How we ran it
The same way we run every Harrod Built home: a licensed family team and one point of contact from start to finish. This home was a 9-month build.

Harrod Built is run by brothers Michael and Chris Harrod (CSLB #986950). Michael is the licensed general contractor and stays involved from the first design conversation to the final walkthrough.

Our team handles the permit process, site prep and pre-construction logistics, and keeps you informed before ground is broken.
