Michael Harrod co-founded Harrod Built with his brother Chris. From their office in Paso Robles they build custom homes, remodels and ADUs across San Luis Obispo, Monterey and Santa Barbara counties, including work in the Santa Lucia Preserve.

How he works

Michael is hands-on with every project and stays involved from the first design conversation to the final walkthrough. Chris runs the job day to day (the schedule, the subcontractors and the details), so owners always know who to call.

Michael also designs homes. Plan sets he designed for single-story homes in Templeton and Paso Robles are in the Harrod Drafting & Design portfolio, and Harrod Built has built from his designs.

Homes he has built

• Templeton Modern French Country: a single-level home of about 3,500 sq ft in Santa Ysabel Ranch, built in 14 months.
• Templeton Modern Ranch: a single-story, six-bedroom home with covered patios, a pool and a detached RV garage.
• Paso Robles Tuscan Revival: 3,202 sq ft, five bedrooms, built in 9 months.
• Morro Bay Contemporary: a modern flat-roof home on a hillside parcel, built in 14 months.
• Paso Robles Modern Ranch ADU: a 1,200 sq ft guest house with 1,200 sq ft of covered porches.
