Our story
A Central Coast building family
Building runs in the Harrod family, and Michael and Chris grew up on job sites. They started Harrod Built to carry that standard forward under their own name. Michael is the licensed general contractor (CSLB #986950). Chris runs each project day to day.
We started this business because we saw a need for home builders who produce high-quality work that lasts. Integrity is at the center of how we build: you deserve a home built with care, and that’s not something we’ll compromise on.
We stay in constant contact with our clients for the whole project. Good communication is no trade secret, but it’s the key to a good outcome, so we built the business on it.

Working with an architect?
Built as drawn
Many projects start with an architect or designer. Our job is to build the design as drawn, on budget and on schedule, and to bring budget and constructability input early so there are no surprises.
